Ink-non-contact PZT actuator technology
Achieving high compatibility with functional inks used in industrial fields by using a unique printhead structure
Long-term durability against a wide variety of functional inks and improved safety of discharged inks by a lead-free technology
A wide variety of functional inks are used in industrial fields, and heads having high material compatibility against various chemical characteristics are therefore required. This technology ensures long-term reliability backed by high durability against materials, from organic solvents to water-based, acid, and alkali inks, and improves the safety of discharged inks by structurally preventing the dissolution of lead into inks.
Technology Overview
The ink and the PZT/electrodes are structurally separated by the vibrating plate, and the PZT actuator is formed outside the ink path. This structure eliminates the risk of dissolution of the lead contained in the PZT into the ink and also realizes high durability against a wide variety of materials, from organic solvents to water-based, acid, and alkali inks, by using components and adhesives with excellent durability for the portions that come into contact with the ink.
